Meet Our Staff
Eddie Alba – Owner / Studio Manager / Dance InstructorEddie began dancing at an early age and spent those early years becoming proficient in Jazz, Tap and Ballet. In 1993, Eddie began teaching and competing in ballroom dancing and currently teaches all styles of ballroom dancing. He spent 8 years dancing in Las Vegas, where he received most of his training. Eddie moved to Southern California in 2001 where he has actively taught private students, group classes, and workshops. As a Pro-am competitor Eddie has won many U.S. Pro-Am Championships and several Top Teacher Awards. In his professional career Eddie is a Rising Star American Smooth Champion and a U.S. Open Semi-Finalist in American Smooth, and was featured on TLC’s reality television show Ballroom Bootcamp. Eddie is currently a part-time instructor of ballroom dance at the Orange County High School of the Arts.
Dale E. Cole – Owner / Business ManagerDale holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management from Michigan State University. In addition to his role at Century Dancesport, Dale is employed with the University of California, Irvine Medical Center as a Human Resources Consultant. Dale has a passion for music and the arts. In his past, Dale has been an active member of Kiwanis International and has served on many community and philanthropic committees. Currently, he is an active member of the Irvine United Church of Christ and sings in the church choir.
Nasrin Mofrad - OwnerNasrin is a licensed cosmetologist and is the owner of Salon Milano in Newport Beach. She is an avid ballroom dancer and has been taking lessons for the past 8 years. In her spare time, Nasrin enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
Nicole (Nicki) Eden – Dance Instructor
Nicki started dancing at age 13. When she was 16, she moved to England to further her dance education in International Styling. Nicki has competed in American Rhythm and has placed as a Rising Star finalist in the US. Nicki has been teaching ballroom dance since she was 16. She has trained with many well known coaches, including Toni Redpath, Margarett Redman, Bob Powers, and Hunter Johnson.
Tony Pututau - Dance InstructorTony is from Provo, UT. He began ballroom dancing at age 12. He has been a competitor since 1994 and a teacher and choreographer since 1998. Tony has won many Latin and Standard competitions in the United States and Europe, including the Irish International Open Latin Championships in 2000. Tony has performed in many dance productions including Odyssey Dance Theater, Louis Van Amstel’s “Latin Revolution,” and the 2007/2008 National American Tour of “Dancing with the Stars.” In 2008, Tony joined Louis Van Amsel’s ongoing theater dance production “Ballroom with a Twist” where he met his current partner Veronika Chernysavska.
Veronika Chernyavska - Dance InstructorBorn in Lviv, Ukraine in 1987, Veronika started her dance career at the age of 8 practicing traditional folk dancing. Upon her arrival to the States at the age of 11, she started training in Latin American dancing. Veronika has had the privilege of working with world-renowned coaches including Louis Van Amstel, Shirley Ballas, and Allan Tornsberg. On the ballroom circuit throughout the States and abroad, Veronika has earned numerous titles in the Latin American division. Veronica was a part of Louis Van Amstel’s traveling theater show “Ballroom with a Twist” where she met her current dance partner Tony Pututau.
Kristy Rivers – Dance InstructorBorn in Queensland, Australia, Kristy has been involved in the dance world practically since birth. Kristy comes from a well-known and respected dance family including: Father Ray; brothers Matt and Jason; and sister, Toni Redpath. Kristy’s competition experience began at age 10. She has multiple pre-teen and junior titles from Australia, and as an amateur, has placed first in several prominent U.S Latin championships. She turned pro at 19 and now teaches, competes and performs nationwide and overseas. She has been a Rising Star Latin Champion and a finalist 2 years running in the North-American National Championships. Kristy has also been a performer and choreographer for stage shows, film and cruise ship shows, including a featured spot in the acclaimed dance film, ‘Dance with Me’ featuring Vanessa Williams.

Kristen Staszek – Dance Instructor
Kristen is originally from Palm Springs. She has been dancing and competing in American Smooth for the past 13 years. She has trained with many wonderful dancers, including former U.S. Champion Toni Redpath, Olga Foraponova, and David Hamilton. She holds titles in both the Youth, Pre-Champ, and BYU Amateur divisions. In addition to American Smooth, she is trained in American Rhythm.
Esteban Conde – Dance InstructorEsteban is nationally and internationally recognized in the social Latin scene as one of the best Salsa/Cha-cha/Merengue, Bachata and Tango dancers/instructors. Esteban is particularly known for his originality and style characterized by his display of fast and fluid footwork, strong and smooth upper body movement, and strong but gentle lead. Originally from Argentina, Esteban has been social Salsa dancing for the last 8 years, and has provided instruction in many of the major Latin Dance venues, mainly in Utah and California, for the last 5 years. He has choreographed and been featured in many dance productions for social, private, and community events. In the competition circuit, Esteban placed first in the 2008 San Diego Professional Salsa Competition. Along with his dance partner, Julie Goldman, Esteban will be representing Orange County in the ESPN World Salsa Competition in April 2009, the largest Salsa competition in the world.
Jessica Reynolds – ReceptionistJessica is our part-time evening receptionist. She is a Social Worker for the mentally ill by day and ballroom dancer by night. She has been taking lessons for 4 years with an emphasis on International Latin and American Rhythm.M
